Thanksgiving at Home

Jack and I are down in Norfolk. We’ve had a stunningly good Thanksgiving dinner. We have so much to be thankful for I could in fact write another month’s worth of posts about those things alone. It all comes down to folks, really. So my first thanks priority goes to my friends, my family, and just nice folks all along the way. Thank you.
We had a kind of long and interesting discussion about what a modern economic depression might look like, and mom, dad, and uncle shared some stories they remember my grandparents telling. Dad talked about his dad using a wheelbarrow to take free corn cobs to burn when they couldn’t afford coal. The discussion certainly facilitated the giving thanks part of things. And despite a brief rough patch dipping our toes in the topic of global warming, we’re doing OK!
Tomorrow there may be shopping. I am a-scared.
